ABOUT THE PITMASTER

 

Brett Wenger grew up in Johnson County, Kansas and went to school for culinary arts at The Broadmoor Tech School/ JCCC, graduating in 2011.  Around this time Brett started competing in Kansas City BBQ Society competitions with his family. These events were the catalyst to him finding his love for BBQ.  

 

Brett moved to Colorado in 2013 to pursue a job as head butcher of a local meat shop in Colorado Springs. After relocating to Denver in 2015 Brett was on the opening team of a butcher shop in Stanley Marketplace.  It was there that Brett met the crew at Rolling Smoke and bonded over their mutual love for BBQ.  It was a natural fit and in 2018 Brett joined the Rolling Smoke team. He brings a great knowledge of meat and techniques that will be sure to help make your BBQ the envy of all your family and friends.

BBQ SCHOOL EVENT DETAILS

 

Join us at Rolling Smoke BBQ to learn the tips and tricks of smoking meat like a pro. 

We’ll be teaching meat selection, trimming, fire management, finishing, slicing and more.
